Shrewsbury, England – 23 September 2018 — Spain’s Josep Garcia (KTM) has put in a dominant display of riding at the Hawkstone Park Cross-Country to claim a start-to-finish victory at round six of the World Enduro Super Series. Firmly stamping his authority on the proceedings, the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider continued on his winning performance from Saturday’s qualifying Sprint Enduro to charge to the top step of the podium in Sunday’s Original Fast Eddy Cross-Country, securing his first win of the 2018 WESS series.

And it seems that it was enough for the riders… “Six specials, it was enough today! I am dead!” confessed Jack EDMONDSON (GB – Sherco) as he returned to the Parc Fermé.

Sufficient also for Steve HOLCOMBE (GB – Beta) who increased his gap in the EnduroGP Championship on his great rival Alex SALVINI (I – Husqvarna).

Josep Garcia Takes Early Advantage At Hawkstone Park Cross-Country
wess-josep-garciaShrewsbury, Great Britain – 22 September, 2018 — Spain’s Josep Garcia (KTM) sets the pace at round six of the World Enduro Super Series to secure the Fast Eddy Sprint Enduro win at the Hawkstone Park Cross-Country in Great Britain.
Putting in a world-class performance, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Garcia stamped his authority on Saturday’s Sprint Enduro to secure a 35-second margin of victory over teammate Nathan Watson (GB).

ONK Jeugd 2018: Geslaagde finale Rilland

Jeugdenduro-finale-rilland-Kaiya-Brouwer-kampioen-JE2Meer foto’s. / Uitslag. / Eindstand. Een mooie finale die met 29 finishers voor een “verweg” finale een redelijke opkomst kende. Gelukkig voor de organiserende MEVZ werd het ’s middags al lekker druk voor de offroad rit en voor de cross county op zondag hadden zich zelfs 80 teams en 50 solo’s ingeschreven.
Met vijf ronden van 24 minuten en één proef van dik 5 minuten werd het geen loodzware finale. Maar, die zeer afwisselende proef bood wel alles en toverde toch wel wat zweetdruppels tevoorschijn. Een heel mooie combinatie van crossbaan en enduro-4×4 gedeelte en wat extreme elementen (dank aan o.a. Alex van den Broek) en die uiteraard met bypass. Een rioolpijp van 85 cm is voor een 85 cc best wel hoog en niet iedereen had de bordjes met hard en soft gezien, zo leek het wel. Het was eigenlijk een enduro- en crossproef in één.
Bij de JE2 werd het voor de dagprijzen nog spannend. Aan de meet had Kaiya Brouwer 8 seconden over op Jeremy Knuiman. “Crosser” Davey Nieuwenhuizen moest deze keer wat meer toegeven maar hij pakte toch een mooie derde plaats. In deze volgorde eindigt ook het kampioenschap.
In de JE1 klasse pakte Ties Bennink de grootste beker, ruim voor Siebe Winters. Die werd dan weer op maar zes seconden gevolgd door Boaz Bijtjes. Ties Bennink werd zo kampioen in de JE1.
Bij de daglicenties haalde Stan van Diemen de hoofdprijs. Damien Knuiman werd knap tweede in zijn eerste enduro en Tygo Waenink eindigde als derde.
