The new Renthal FB36 handlebars
Introduction
Working alongside our factory race teams we developed the concept to improve performance through weight reduction without compromising existing handlebar strength. Every time you accelerate, brake, corner, jump you work against the weight of the motorcycle. By reducing weight it improves the performance of your motorcycle in all of these areas resulting in faster lap times.

Renthal has employed its 50+ years of experience in handlebar design, testing and racing to develop the R-Works Fatbar36 the ultimate in lightweight motocross handlebars. Utilising Renthal’s 36Tech™ handlebar standard and proprietary ZariliumTM material to give a high strength handlebar at the lowest possible weight. The R-Works Fatbar®36 is 36% lighter than our standard 28mm diameter Fatbar®, previously the lightest motocross handlebar.

FINISH VOOR MIRJAM POL OP 3 VERSCHILLENDE CONTINENTEN
Vandaag heeft Mirjam Pol een unieke prestatie neergezet door de Dakar op de drie verschillende continenten uit te rijden. Als enige Nederlandse motorrijder en als enige vrouwelijke coureur ter wereld, heeft Pol de zwaarste rally ter wereld uitgereden in Afrika, Zuid-Amerika én nu dan ook in het Midden-Oosten.

Fysiek zwaar, mentaal heel heftig
De eerste editie van Dakar in Saudi-Arabië is een heftige rally geweest, in meerdere opzichten. Fysiek kreeg Pol het één en ander te verduren.

Over 30 years have passed since Honda last triumphed in the Dakar Rally. In 2020, Monster Energy Honda Team has once again laid claim to the coveted bronze Tuareg prize. Ricky Brabec makes history to become the first ever American to win the world’s toughest and cruellest rally.

After eight years in pursuit of glory, the dream has finally come true. Ricky Brabec rewarded Honda with a much desired victory. Honda had returned to the Dakar in 2013 after a 23-year absence, yet after numerous stage wins and two overall runner-up spots, the principle objective remained elusive. However, on an eighth attempt in the 2020 edition, success finally materialized.

VOOR ALLES IS EEN EERSTE KEER

Zojuist is Mirjam als 45ste motorrijder gefinisht, een hele goede prestatie van de enige Nederlandse vrouwelijke motorrijder. Ze blijft mooi constant rijden en dat levert haar uiteindelijk een 45ste plek in het algemeen klassement op.

Toch is Mirjam zelf niet helemaal blij: “Het was een moeizame dag, het eerste gedeelte was zwaar, ook fysiek, met veel stenen. Daar hadden ze al voor gewaarschuwd, het was ‘Morocco Style’, zeg maar. Ik kwam er niet lekker in, het kostte me allemaal heel veel moeite.”
