Leerzame WK enduro voor Tommie Jochems in Estland

EnduroGP Estland🇪🇪
Wow, wat een ervaring. Ter voorbereiding op de zesdaagse te Italië van 30 aug-4 sep besloten om deel te nemen aan het WK Enduro te Saaremaa in de Junior 1 klasse. Een hele uitdaging maar soms moet jezelf een beetje uitdagen toch?😅
Vrijdag Supertest
Op vrijdagavond stond er een supertest op de planning. Korte test naast het paddock. Dit was erg leuk opgezet met gebouwde hindernissen. Geen risico’s genomen hierin en solide gereden zonder fouten.
Zaterdag
Op zaterdag stonden er 4 rondes op de planning met elk 3 proeven. Extreme, Enduro en Crosstest. Laaste ronden werd de crosstest overgeslagen en kwam de Supertest hiervoor in de plaats. De eerste dag gingen de proeven niet

Kaiya Brouwer ondanks blessure twee keer aan de finish tijdens WK Estland

Dag 1 wk Estland
Vandaag behoorlijk afgezien tijdens het wk in Estland😅.
Het rijden ging niet zoals normaal door de pijn, maar ik ben blij dat ik gefinisht ben na 3 ronden van 72km en 2 uur lang.
We kwamen hier voor het podium, maar met een 4e plaats in de open 2 takt klasse mag ik gezien de omstandigheden tevreden zijn.
Op naar morgen, hopelijk kan ik m’n bed nog uitkomen🤪

NB. Op woensdag tijdens het lopen van de 1e proef ben ik hard door m’n enkel gegaan. Gelukkig niks gebroken, wel heb ik mijn enkelbanden afgescheurd. Hierdoor heb ik niet alle proeven kunnen lopen. In overleg met mijn fysio ga ik wel proberen om te rijden met als risico dat het herstel iets langer kan duren.

Dag 2 wk Estland🇪🇪
De hele wedstrijd op een 3e plaats gelegen tot 2 proeven voor het einde van de wedstrijd, toen ben ik helaas het podium op 10 seconden misgelopen.

Double Delight as Josep Garcia tops Day Two at GP of Estonia

Just like Garcia in EnduroGP, Andrea Verona (GASGAS) enjoyed a perfect weekend topping the Enduro1 class on both days in Saaremaa © Future7 MediaSpain’s Josep Garcia (KTM) has ended the third round of the BORILLI FIM EnduroGP World Championship, the GP of Estonia in Saaremaa, on a high after securing EnduroGP class victory on day two. Making it a perfect weekend for the Spaniard following his overall day one victory, Garcia overhauled Britain’s Brad Freeman (Beta) on the final special test of the event to secure the top step of the podium on day two. At the end of another successful weekend for Andrea Verona (GASGAS), the Italian finished up on the EnduroGP podium in third.

Italy’s Lorenzo Macoritto (TM) got the better of his teammate and day one winner Matteo Pavoni to triumph in Enduro Junior, while Sweden’s Albin Norrbin (Fantic) was the winner for the second day running in Enduro Youth.

Josep Garcia claims first EnduroGP win of 2021 in Estonia

Mastering the sand and the heat Josep Garcia (KTM) claimed his first EnduroGP class win of 2021 © Future7 MediaSpain’s Josep Garcia (KTM) has secured his first victory of 2021 BORILLI FIM EnduroGP World Championship season by claiming top honours on day one at the GP of Estonia. Garcia led home Britain’s Brad Freeman (Beta) in second, with Italy’s Andrea Verona (GASGAS) recording his first EnduroGP podium of the season with third. Enduro Junior once again saw Italy’s Matteo Pavoni (TM) win over teammate Lorenzo Macoritto (TM), while Sweden’s Albin Norrbin (Fantic) was the rider to beat in Enduro Youth.

With Saaremaa in Estonia marking the first leg of a northern Europe double header for the BORILLI FIM EnduroGP World Championship, conditions were hot, dry and very physically demanding. A mixture of soft sandy terrain and hard pack trails ensured a thorough test for both riders and their machines.
