GARCIA, FREEMAN & FRANKE ALL CROWNED WORLD CHAMPIONS ON DAY TWO OF GP OF GERMANY
The final day of the 2017 Maxxis FIM EnduroGP World Championship – the Acerbis GP of Germany in Zschopau – saw no fewer than three riders secure world championship honours. Spain’s Josep Garcia (KTM) was crowned Enduro 2 World Champion, Britain’s Brad Freeman (Beta) put the finishing touches to his Enduro Junior campaign, while Germany’s Maria Franke (KTM) secured the Enduro Women’s title following the retirement of her title rival Laia Sanz (KTM).

STEVE HOLCOMBE CROWNED 2017 ENDUROGP WORLD CHAMPION
Steve Holcombe has won the 2017 FIM EnduroGP World Championship title with victory on day one of the series’ final event in Zschopau, Germany. Entering the race with a 40-point advantage over his closest rival Loic Larrieu, Steve put the finishing touches to what has been a stand-out season by wrapping up the title in the
best way possible.
Cautiously completing the event’s Friday night super test to finish seventh in class, Steve made a winning start to the first full day of competition in Germany

EnduroGP: Rule changes and 2018 provisional calendars
Following meetings between the manufacturers, teams and riders engaged in the FIM Maxxis Enduro World Championship, the FIM and the Championship Promoter ABC Communications have decided to make changes to the rules that will be applied from 2018 to encourage the participation of the greatest possible number of riders and teams.

Enduro 2 (E2): 250+ cc 4 stroke up to 450cc 4 stroke

EnduroGP: Rankings based on overall standings (E1-E2-E3)
Starting order: 1st to 15th in inverse order of the provisional rankings.

Eindelijk terug groen licht voor Mathias Van Hoof
Het waren 7 lange maanden met veel downs en slechts enkele up’s in maar eindelijk heeft de Denicol rijder terug groen licht gekregen van Dokter Claes.
“ Afgelopen week moest ik medische en fysieke testen afleggen in het ziekenhuis van Herentals. Deze testen werden al maanden geleden vastgelegd en ik leefde en werkte er dan ook erg hard naartoe om deze met succes te beëindigen.” Zo gezegd zo gedaan en Mathias slaagde in beide testen en mocht terug intensief beginnen trainen met de fiets en rustig opbouwend de motor trainingen hervatten.
