Antony Donders van het Laurense Husqvarna team is in de derde wedstrijd om het Open Nederlands Kampioenschap Enduro in Mettet dichtbij een podiumplaats gekomen. Samen met nog twee andere rijders streed hij de hele dag om de derde plaats maar uiteindelijk kwam hij net acht seconden tekort en finishte als vierde.

Afgelopen zondag 8 april werd voor de eerste keer een ONK enduro gehouden (alleen voor de inters) in België. De wedstrijd werd gehouden in Mettet. Er waren twee mooie proeven uitgezet door de Belgen. De eerste proef was op een bouwland met harde ondergrond (klei). De tweede proef was uitgezet in een kleine afgraving met daarbij een stuk grasland. De wedstrijd werd verreden over 4 ronden.
De eerste ronde moest Lucas Dolfing rijdend voor TM Racing Nederland een beetje wennen aan de wat hardere ondergrond en de steenafgraving.

The crowd in the Sparbanken Arena were treated to an incredibly dramatic evening of racing for the season finale of the 2018 Maxxis FIM SuperEnduro World Championship!
Since the beginning of the season in December, the world’s best SuperEnduro riders have banged bars and fought hard on technical and perilous tracks from Poland, Germany, Spain and the Basque Country, to Sweden. Tonight’s final battle in Lidköping played out on a track that was very, very fast!
Taddy BLAZUSIAK (PL – KTM) won the Akrapovic Super Pole on the night in front of Jonny WALKER (GB – KTM) and Cody WEBB (USA – KTM), closely followed by Colton HAAKER (USA – Husqvarna) and Billy BOLT (GB – Husqvarna). The Polish rider was determined to take as many points as possible.
