Even with over four months to go before the 94th edition of the FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE) is set to take place in Portimao, Portugal from 11 to 16 November 2019, the pre-entry list is incredibly strong with over seven hundred and fifty riders confirmed already.
A total of twenty-six countries have registered teams in the three main trophy classes – those being World Trophy, Junior Trophy and Women’s World Trophy.
Close Battles And Unprecedented Growth For WESS In 2019
Wels, Austria – 23 July, 2019 — The World Enduro Super Series has enjoyed an incredible start to the season with multiple different winners and championship leaders, plus unprecedented media growth. From the season opener in Portugal, the racing has been nothing short of epic as the race to become this year’s ULTIMATE ENDURO CHAMPION has moved through France, Austria and most recently Spain.
Now, with four rounds complete, it’s time to take a look at some of the season highlights to date before gearing up for what’s set to an action-packed second half of the championship…

“I believe that an Enduro competition is one of the most complicated events to organise.”
Maurizio Micheluz is a rider, but, since 2015, he is also FIM’s Race Inspector for the Enduro competitions. He tells us how it is not at all easy to put together around 60 kilometres of off-road, and plan special tests, all of which requires necessary authorisations to make the events happen.
“Not to mention ISDE, when the kilometres are roughly doubled for three different racecourses.”
Maurizio is part of the Race Commission, which also includes Pedro Mariano, FIM’s Race Director, and the national Race Director.

De HardEnduroSerie Duitsland is ook aantrekkelijk voor Nederlandse starters. De afstanden vanaf huis zijn redelijk te doen en de kosten blijven ook binnen de perken. Zo rond de 50 à 60 euro inclusief licentiekosten. De bandenkeuze is vrij. Het wedstrijdformaat is eerst een relatief makkelijke proloog, daaruit volgt een groepsindeling met een 1 à 1 1/2 uurs race, waaruit de snelsten naar de finale gaan op een nog iets moeilijker parcours.
De online inschrijvingen voor de volgende wedstrijden zijn nu actief.
Sinds vorig jaar, toen de HardEnduroSerie Duitsland voor het eerst werd verreden, staan renners uit Nederland steeds weer op de startlijsten. Hoogtepunt was dit jaar de seizoensopener in Neuhaus-Schierschnitz, Thüringen, toen Wesley en Thierry Pittens, de twee toprijders uit het buurland, aan de start stonden.

Jarvis Heads Bumper Entry To Red Bull Romaniacs
Wels, Austria 18 July, 2019 — The World Enduro Super Series enters the second half of the 2019 season with Britain’s Graham Jarvis leading the title chase on to round five at Red Bull Romaniacs. In the battle to become this year’s ULTIMATE ENDURO CHAMPION the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider tops the standings from Germany’s Manuel Lettenbichler (KTM), with Sherco Factory Racing’s Mario Roman (ESP) close behind in third.
