Spain’s Josep Garcia (KTM) has secured his first victory of 2021 BORILLI FIM EnduroGP World Championship season by claiming top honours on day one at the GP of Estonia. Garcia led home Britain’s Brad Freeman (Beta) in second, with Italy’s Andrea Verona (GASGAS) recording his first EnduroGP podium of the season with third. Enduro Junior once again saw Italy’s Matteo Pavoni (TM) win over teammate Lorenzo Macoritto (TM), while Sweden’s Albin Norrbin (Fantic) was the rider to beat in Enduro Youth.

With Saaremaa in Estonia marking the first leg of a northern Europe double header for the BORILLI FIM EnduroGP World Championship, conditions were hot, dry and very physically demanding. A mixture of soft sandy terrain and hard pack trails ensured a thorough test for both riders and their machines.

The 2021 Borilli FIM EnduroGP World Championship returns to action this weekend as the series leaves southern Europe and heads north for the first of two consecutive events that will unquestionably play a decisive role in the series’ eventual outcome.

First visiting the sandy tracks and trails of Saaremaa, Estonia the championship then passes its halfway point as it crosses the Baltic Sea to Skövde in Sweden for round four. With competitors having had just two weeks to re-group following the intense opening rounds in Portugal and Italy, the northern European tour will bring with it an important change of terrain as it challenges the world’s fastest enduro racers in its own very sandy, forest covered way!

Britain’s Brad Freeman (Beta) had a lot to celebrate at the close of the second round of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship in Italy having put the finishing touches to a superb weekend with a dominant victory on day two. Claiming a double EnduroGP class win in Edolo, the Beta rider extends his lead at the top of the standings over his closest rival, Australian Will Ruprecht (TM). In Enduro Junior home favourite Matteo Pavoni topped the classification for the second day running, while Sweden’s Albin Norrbin led home a Fantic 1-2-3 in Enduro Youth.

It was a battle to the very end on day one of the second round of the Borilli FIM EnduroGP World Championship as Britain’s Brad Freeman (Beta) eventually edged out Australia’s Will Ruprecht (TM) for the win at the ACERBIS GP of Italy. A thrilling, day-long battle between the duo saw Freeman snatch the EnduroGP win by just two seconds. There was plenty for the Italian fans to cheer about as Andrea Verona (GASGAS) topped Enduro1 with Matteo Pavoni (TM) delivering a winning ride in Enduro Junior. Harry Edmondson (Fantic) put the Italian manufacturer on top in Enduro Youth.

Following hot on the heels of the series opening GP of Portugal, the 2021 Borilli FIM EnduroGP World Championship is back in action this coming weekend as the six-round series heads east across Europe to Edolo, Italy for the ACERBIS GP of Italy. With the first round of the championship delivering two days of high drama and close racing, round two is expected to see much of the same as the battle for EnduroGP top-honours continues.
