In zijn eerste WK ooit had Daan Bruijsten de handen vol. Hij reed nooit eerder zo’n moeilijke route waarvan het eerste stuk ook nog krap in tijd was. Elke ronde werd dat gedeelte ook nog een minuut korter maar Daan slaagde erin om de “nul” vast te houden. Daardoor bleef er weinig energie over om in de proeven nog eens goed aan te zetten.
Even speelde de gedachte om op te geven door zijn hoofd, maar zo ver kwam het gelukkig niet. “Wel drie keer helemaal dood gezeten; nog nooit zo diep gegaan”, aldus Daan. Uiteindelijk bracht hij de KTM op de 21e plaats van de E2 klasse binnen. Na een leerzame dag en een hopelijk goede rust hoopt hij zich morgen van zijn beste kant te laten zien.

HOLCOMBE & GARCIA TOP DAY ONE OF THE ENDUROGP OF ITALY
Claiming his first EnduroGP class win of 2017 to move to the top of the provisional EnduroGP World Championship standings, Steve Holcombe was the big winner on day one of the GP of Italy. Battling with Beta team-mate Alex Salvini throughout the day, the British rider eventually placed 11 seconds ahead following a costly mistake by Salvini during the day’s final enduro test. Rounding out the EnduroGP podium was Yamaha rider Loic Larrieu.

On a « SuperEnduro style » track, the EnduroGP stars gave a lot to cheer for to the numerous spectators present for the second Super Test Akrapovic of the year this Friday evening in the Stadio Communale of Spoleto…
With that kind of track, it was the best moment for US Legend Mike BROWN (Husqvarna) to make the show for his first EnduroGP. The JET Team rider just killed the concurrence with an outstanding time of 1’51’’60. Second tonight, Alex SALVINI (I – Beta) ending more than 3 seconds behind him. It proves that, even being 45, “Brownie” still has his speed and his impressive skills…

PHILLIPS aiming for Italian EnduroGP win
Sherco’s Matthew PHILLIPS leads the way as the third round of the Maxxis FIM 
EnduroGP World Championship heads to Italy.
This weekend, the stars of the Maxxis FIM EnduroGP World Championship are heading to Italy and more particularly in Spoleto, for the third round of the season 2017. After the Bergamasque Valleys (Rovetta) in 2015 and the Marches (Fabriano) last year, the Federazione Italiana de Motociclismo (FMI) designated Umbria and the beautiful city of Spoleto same as its Moto Club as organiser of the traditional Grand Prix of Italy.
Daan Bruijsten voor het JTX-KTM team naar WK enduro in Italië
Daan Bruijsten rijdend voor het JTX-KTM team gaat naar het WK enduro in Italië om ervaring op te doen tussen de wereldtop. Na verschillende goede wedstrijden op zijn 250 EXC-F machine heeft hij samen met zijn team de beslissing gemaakt om naar Spoleto te Italië af te reizen. Waar de derde wedstrijd om het wereld kampioenschap verreden zal gaan worden. Hij is op dit moment zijn laatste trainingen voor deze wedstrijd aan het afwerken en zal volgende week vertrekken om de proeven te verkennen en zich maximaal te focussen op de race op 26-27-28 mei. De wedstrijd zal bestaan uit een proloog op 26 mei en twee lange enduro dagen van drie rondes met daarin drie proeven van verschillende categorieën enduroproef, extremeproef en een crossproef. Graag wil Daan zijn dank uitspreken aan zijn sponsoren en helpers die hem deze kans mogelijk hebben gemaakt!
