Italy allover
With an overall victory in the final cross, the Italian Alessandro Battig also won the overall championship of all riders at the final of the European Enduro Championship in Kielce, Poland, after his title in the cubic capacity class.
This alone was not enough for the Kawasaki pilot, because his dealer team, the Osselini team, also won the European Championship title, as did the Italian national team – again with Battig in the middle!

Spannende en geslaagde EK finale in Polen.
De driedaagse finale van het Europees kampioenschap werd verreden in het Poolse Kielce. Na eerdere wedstrijden in Italië, Roemenië en Zweden kregen we hier een goed georganiseerde finale voorgeschoteld met een erg mooie slotcross.
Op beide endurodagen kregen de rijders vier ronden op een route van 55 kilometer voorgeschoteld met daarin twee proeven. Met een rijtijd van 7,5 uur per dag en meer dan een uur proeftijd werd dit een echte zware enduro. Vooral de verbindingsroute met enorme knipgaten, moddergaten en paden met boomwortels deed een aanslag op de conditie.
Na een lang en seizoen met verre reizen was er ook succes te vieren. Vijf Nederlanders in de toptien van de eindklassementen! Rik Vierhuizen (2e) en Lucas Dolfing (3e) haalden zelfs het eindpodium. En … de nieuwe lichting komt er aan: de Juniors U21 zaten al meteen goed in de middenmoot in hun eerste tweedaagse EK.

Championship for Micheluz, Montanari and Senior Krywult
On the second day of the three-day finale of the European Enduro Championship in Kielce, Poland, further drivers were able to secure the title.
The Italian Maurizio Micheluz won the two-strokes up to 250 cc with another day’s victory, so far unbeaten the championship. But it is not the first title for the Husavarna rider, who has often been at the top of the podium in recent years.
Kawasaki rider Alessandro Battig from Italy won the title in his class on the first day of the European Enduro Championship final in Kielce, Poland!
With a further day victory in the class of the four-stroke machines over 250 ccm, he was able to extend his lead unassailably.
In the remaining two days of competition he will concentrate on winning the title in the overall standings in addition. There, too, the Italian is in the lead of the European Championship and with his second place in the overall standings today, Friday, he has come a little closer to this goal. Although he was beaten on this day by his compatriot, the junior Lorenzo Macoritto, he was able to leave his direct rivals in the championship behind, as the Frenchman Hugo Blanjoue only finished third.

Enduro-Countdown: 3.….2…..1
The Finale of the FIM Europe Enduro Championship will take place in Kielce / Poland from 14th to 16th of September.
It will be a „3“-days event, with „2“ days of classic enduro and „1“ final-motocross.
The first two days will be on a 50km long circuit, which has to be ridden four times and includes a motocross test and an enduro test every lap.
The motocross on the last day takes place about 25 km away from the Parc ferme.
