\"EK<\/a>Today the local rider Rannar Uusna (class Senior E3) won the opening day of the Enduro European\u00a0Championship Round 2 in Paikuse, Estonia.
\n\u201cI made one small mistake in the Enduro Test but otherwise I had a smooth day\u201c<\/em>, said Uusna\u00a0who after the first round of the Championship was holding the fifth position. Before the race\u00a0Uusna set out to win in the familiar sandy conditions of his home country and he kept his promise.
\n\u201cI had no problems today with my bike and I rode as well as I could.\u201c<\/em> Uusna’s time today was 42:25.97 and he was 3 seconds faster than the second in overall classification \u2013\u00a0Matteo Pavoni from Italy who also won the Junior E1 class. The third in overall classification\u00a0and the winner of the Junior Under 20 class was Joakim Grelsson from Sweden \u2013 he was 9 seconds\u00a0slower than Pavoni.<\/p>\n

The conditions in Paikuse today were close to perfect \u2013 the weather was dry and not too hot,\u00a0about 20\u00b0C. It rained a little at night but for the morning the track had dried and the result\u00a0only depended on the technical abilites of the riders. \u201cThe day was good, I had no problems\u00a0on the track or with the bike,\u201c<\/em> said Oscar Baletti who was satisfied with the result. He was\u00a0Uusna’s biggest competitor in the Senior E3 class and took the fourth place in the overall classification.
\nNot everybody was happy with the track in Paikuse. \u201cSand is not my thing at all. I had several\u00a0crashes,\u201c the Swede Daniel Mundellwas critical about himself \u2013 he was holding the lead after\u00a0the first EC round in the Junior\u00a0Under 20 class. \u201eI’ll try to do
\nmuch better tomorrow\u201c, he promised.
\nIn the first day in Paikuse\u00a0Mundell was 25th in the overall\u00a0and in his own class third after\u00a0Jan Allers.<\/p>\n

154 riders started this morning\u00a0for the European Championship\u00a0round in Paikuse from 17 different\u00a0countries. For the tomorrow’s\u00a0race 151 bikes are ready in\u00a0Parc Ferme.
\nThe second day will start at 9\u00a0AM local time (CET +2). The\u00a0length of the track in Paikuse is 62 km and it has two\u00a0Cross Tests, one Enduro Test and 2 Time Checks.
