\"\"<\/a>The legendary \u201cBergamasche Valley\u201d
\n<\/strong>After a five-year absence the\u00a0Maxxis FIM Enduro World Championship<\/strong> is returning to \u2018Bergamasche Valley\u2019<\/strong> for what is set to be a demanding and historical Grand Prix. This coming weekend the EWC returns to\u00a0Rovetta<\/strong>, high up in the hills of northern Italy\u2026<\/p>\n

After five long years without organising a Grand Prix of the\u00a0Maxxis FIM Enduro World Championship <\/strong>(Lovere 2010),\u00a0Moto Club Bergamo<\/strong> has decided to get back in the action and delight of the Italian tifosi and enduro fans. Its president,\u00a0Andrea GATTI<\/strong>, had no trouble convincing theFederazione Italiana Motociclistica <\/strong>(FMI<\/strong>) and the\u00a0FIM <\/strong>to organize the fifth round of the 2015 EWC season.<\/p>\n

Rovetta… 9 years later!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Moto Club Bergamo<\/strong> have created a great track \u2013 close to 54 kilometres in length, the lap will offer all the difficulties of the steep sided \u2018Valli Bergamasche\u2019<\/strong>. The\u00a0Enduro Test <\/strong>will be long, very technical and will be located in\u00a0Plarina <\/strong>while the\u00a0Xtreme Test<\/strong> will offer many, all-natural, challenges, and perfectly characterise the province of Bergamo. This special test will be located in\u00a0Bossico<\/strong>, like the\u00a0Cross Test<\/strong>. The\u00a0KTM Super Test<\/strong> of Friday Night will offer a show like only the\u00a0Moto Club Bergamo<\/strong> knows how to organise, and will be located in\u00a0Clusone<\/strong>. For its part, the paddock will take place in\u00a0Piazzale “Scuole” <\/strong>of\u00a0Rovetta <\/strong>\u2013 the summer training center of professional football team Atalanta Bergamo!<\/p>\n

A relatively small town of Lombardy,\u00a0Rovetta <\/strong>has approximately 4,000 inhabitants and is located right next to\u00a0Lovere <\/strong>\u2013 host city of the last Italian Grand Prix organized by the\u00a0Moto Club Bergamo<\/strong> in 2010.\u00a0Rovetta <\/strong>is only 40 kilometres from\u00a0Bergamo <\/strong>and 100 km from\u00a0Milan<\/strong>. The province ofBergamo <\/strong>is a fertile ground for Enduro sport. It is part of the history and DNA of the\u00a0Maxxis FIM Enduro World Championship <\/strong>and no doubt the Italians riders such as\u00a0Alex SALVINI (Honda)<\/strong>,Thomas OLDRATI (HVA – Bergamo)<\/strong>,\u00a0Simone ALBERGONI (Kawasaki – Bergamo)<\/strong>,\u00a0Rudy MORONI (Sherco – Bergamo)<\/strong> or young prospect\u00a0Giacomo REDONDI (Beta – Bergamo)<\/strong> andDavide SORECA (Beta) <\/strong>and the local man Jonathan MANZI (Gas Gas – Lives in Rovetta) will be gunning to deliver podium results.<\/p>\n

With over 120 entrants, the\u00a0Grand Prix Acerbis of Italy <\/strong>has once again proved to be a popular one with riders set to do battle over two tough days of competition.<\/p>\n

Rovetta<\/em>
\nRENET has to confirm<\/strong><\/p>\n

After returning to form with an unstoppable double win in Greece,\u00a0Pierre-Alexandre RENET (F – Husqvarna) <\/strong>will look to continue his good form and to further reduce the gap to class leader\u00a0Antoine MEO (FRA – KTM)<\/strong>. Clearly not at his best in Serres, the official KTM rider will have to react strongly in order to stop\u00a0RENET <\/strong>getting dangerously close to his championship lead with two races to go. But the man to follow this weekend will be\u00a0Alex SALVINI (I – Honda)<\/strong>. The home favourite, who scored two victories last year in Lumezzane, will seek to give his fans two more wins to his fans this weekend. Behind this magic trio,\u00a0Loic LARRIEU (F – Sherco)<\/strong> and\u00a0Jaume BETRIU (E – Husqvarna)<\/strong> will offer a great duel, and should be joined by local racer\u00a0Nicolo MORI (ITA – KTM)<\/strong> and\u00a0Deny PHILIPPAERTS (I – Beta) <\/strong>as well as Spaniard\u00a0Victor GUERRERO (ESP – KTM)<\/strong>. What about Johnny AUBERT (F – Beta)<\/strong>? If he is fully recovered from his injury in Portugal, he could also join the top three at his team\u2019s home GP…<\/p>\n

In Enduro 3, it\u2019s a critical time for\u00a0Matthew PHILLIPS (AUS – KTM)<\/strong> and\u00a0Matti SEISTOLA (SF – Sherco)<\/strong>. Following the double of\u00a0Mathias BELLINO (F – Husqvarna)<\/strong> in Greece, both riders are now more than 20 points behind the leader and in need of taking back valuable championship points. The case will be even harder for\u00a0Matti SEISTOLA<\/strong>, who injured to his right hand in Serres and will again have to show a mind of steel.\u00a0Aigar LEOK (EST – TM)<\/strong> is also likely to feature well in his team\u2019s home GP. In great form the Estonian will be wanting to show that he\u2019s a winner, not just a podium finisher. They will also have to count on the Italians\u00a0Manuel MONNI (TM)<\/strong> and\u00a0Thomas OLDRATI (Husqvarna)<\/strong> who will be hungry for strong home results. Also,\u00a0Luis CORREIA (P – Beta)<\/strong>,\u00a0Jeremy JOLY (FRA – KTM)<\/strong> or\u00a0Jonathan BARRAGAN (E – Gas Gas)<\/strong> could deliver some surprises. We also hope to see\u00a0Antoine BASSET (FRA – Gas Gas)<\/strong> return to competition.<\/p>\n

\nREMES wants to take the lead!<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Enduro 1,\u00a0Eero REMES (SF – TM) <\/strong>proved in Greece that he\u2019s a serious challenger for the Enduro1 title and can clearly rival\u00a0Christophe NAMBOTIN (F – KTM)<\/strong> over an entire weekend.\u00a0Nambotin<\/strong>, struggling with a knee injury, wasn\u2019t anywhere close to being 100% in Serres, and will seek to rebuild his lead in\u00a0Rovetta<\/strong>… But\u00a0REMES<\/strong>, with full confidence, will put pressure on\u00a0NAMBOTIN <\/strong>and could take the lead after this Grand Prix. Behind them,\u00a0Marc BOURGEOIS (F – Yamaha) <\/strong>wants to continue his good form while\u00a0Lorenzo SANTOLINO (E – Sherco)<\/strong>, who becomes faster and faster on his Sherco, and\u00a0Danny MCCANNEY (GB – Husqvarna)<\/strong>, who sits third E1 standings, will both be gunning for glory.\u00a0Cristobal GUERRERO (ESP – Yamaha) <\/strong>is likely to be vengeful after the Grand Prix in Greece as well as locals\u00a0Simone ALBERGONI (Kawasaki)<\/strong>,\u00a0Rudy MORONI (KTM) <\/strong>and\u00a0Gianluca Martini (Yamaha)<\/strong>. Will\u00a0Rovetta<\/strong> resident\u00a0Jonathan MANZI (I)<\/strong>, who was absent in Greece, be present aboard his Gas Gas for his home Grand Prix?<\/p>\n

Finally, in Juniors,\u00a0Jamie MCCANNEY (GB – Husqvarna) <\/strong>will attempt to widen the gap on Italian rivalGiacomo REDONDI (I – Beta)<\/strong>. The Italian will be hungry at home and he has also signed his first world podium in Lovere in 2010.\u00a0Steve HOLCOMBE (GB – Beta)<\/strong>, should continue to impress and try to still take points back to the two championship leaders while Alessandro BATTIG (I – Honda) <\/strong>will try to repeat his result from the series opener in Chile where he climbed to the top step of the podium.Matteo BRESOLIN (ITA – KTM)<\/strong>,\u00a0Davide SORECA (I – Beta)<\/strong> and Nicolo BRUSCHI (I – Honda)<\/strong> will want to shine azzuri colours while\u00a0Diogo VENTURA (P – Gas Gas)<\/strong> will look to make his return to the podium.<\/p>\n

In FIM Youth Cup 125cc, the duel\u00a0Josep GARCIA (E – Husqvarna)<\/strong> – Mikael PERSSON (S – Yamaha)<\/strong> take on a new dimension. If the Spaniard is sufficiently recovered from his collarbone injury, both riders should give us a good show. Behind the French\u00a0Luc MALIGES (KTM)<\/strong>,\u00a0Luca GARELLO (Yamaha)<\/strong>,\u00a0David ABGRALL (Yamaha)<\/strong>,\u00a0Jean-Baptiste NICOLOT (Yamaha) <\/strong>and Valerian DEBAUD (Yamaha) <\/strong>and Britain’s\u00a0Jack EDMONDSON (KTM)<\/strong> will fight for the last step of the podium.Mirko SPANDRE (I – KTM)<\/strong>, meanwhile, will have all public favor for his second Grand Prix.<\/p>\n
