Verslag<\/strong>
\nDit verslag is vanuit thuis gemaakt. Het deed wel even pijn om voor het eerst sinds 2001 niet zelf aanwezig te zijn maar soms moet je kiezen …<\/p>\n

Geen KNMV teams naar zesdaagse Mexico.<\/strong>
\nOndanks alle plannen in het begin van het jaar besloot de KNMV uiteindelijk in verband met de veiligheids-situatie geen teams naar Mexico te sturen. Net als overigens Engeland en Australi\u00eb. Andere landen zoals Belgi\u00eb en de USA gingen wel. En, veteraan Leo Moulijn liet zich ook niet afstoppen. Hij wilde dit avontuur meemaken. Het leverde hem een bronzen medaille op.<\/p>\n

10 augustus: FIM tevreden over Zesdaagse voorbereidingen Mexico<\/strong>
\n\"\"Op 16 juli kwam er een inspectierapport van de FIM uit over de\u00a0(veiligheids)situatie in Morelia, Mexico waar de Zesdaagse zal worden georganiseerd. De heren hebben daar in vier dagen acht vergaderingen gehouden en de boel goed bekenen. Hun conclusie is dat er op dit moment geen redenen zijn om de zesdaagse niet te organiseren. 2010 ISDE Mexico, dag 1: Frankrijk leidt; Leo Moulijn gefinished
\n<\/strong>\"johnnyaubertdag1\"<\/a>Na een lange, warme eerste dag leidt Frankrijk voor de World Trophy en Johnny Aubert leidt de scratch. Leo Moulijn wordt 51e in de C1, zonder strafminuten. En dat konden ze niet allemaal zeggen. Vooral bij de dames is het een slachting, maar die hebben een herstart. Belgi\u00eb werd 11e; Michael Despontin viel uit; Goblet werd netjes 11e in de E2.<\/p>\n

2010 ISDE Mexico, dag 2: wolken en moddersporen<\/strong>
\n\"\"<\/a>Niet de minsten reden zich vandaag een keer vast, zoals Rodrig Thain en Victor Guerrero. Polen, verrassend weer op vijf, verliest Oblucki. Bij de Junior Trophy kruipt Zweden naar Spanje toe. De Fransen winnen vier klassen, hoewel het dagelijkse persbericht van de FIM daar anders over denkt. Er zal dus wel weer wat afgestoeid worden in de jury.
\nLeo Moulijn werd 45e in de C1 met 2 strafminuten(er werd A-tijd gereden op dag2). Hij staat 44e in het klassement na twee dagen.

2010 ISDE Mexico, dag 3: wolken en stof op nieuwe route<\/strong>
\n\"Salminen<\/a>Onder een zwaar wolkendek en bij frissere temperaturen bleef dag\u00a0drie een stoffige dag. Frankrijk blijft imponeren; de Amerikanen komen er toch net niet bij. Leo Moulijn werd 42e met dit keer twaalf strafminuten. Dat bracht hem toch tot de 39e plaats in het\u00a0klassement voor de C1. (In zijn klasse zijn er van de 63 nog 49 over.)
\nBij onze Belgische vrienden had op dag 3 Adrien VanDommele met problemen af te rekenen. Jeff Goblet werd sterk 6e en staat nu 8e in de E2.<\/p>\n

2010 ISDE Mexico, dag 4: weer warm en stoffig<\/strong>
\n\"Victor<\/a>Het gevecht in Mexico gaat (nog steeds) vooral om de 2e en 3e plaatsen. De leiders zijn naast de Spaanse Junioren uiteraard vooral de Fransen. Johnny Aubert geeft les daar. Op de foto de snelste Spaanse junior Victor Guerrero. Leo Moulijn werd 45e met 18 minuten straftijd; in het tussenklassement staat hij 40e. Jeff Goblet werd 7e en hij staat ook 7e. Op vrijdag weer een nieuwe route en een “korte” dag: 7 uur tot de pre-finish.<\/p>\n

2010 ISDE Mexico, dag 5: Frankrijk laat zich niet verrassen<\/strong>
\n\"\"<\/a>Kurt Caselli pakt eindelijk een top drie plaats met Mike Brown op vier in de E1. In de E2 heeft Juha Salminen nu de 2e plaats in handen, maar wel bijna 6\u00a0minuten\u00a0achter Johnny Aubert. E\u00e9n van de meest opvallende scores is die van Cristobal Guerrero in de C1: met zijn totaaltijd is hij 3e snelste rijder\u00a0na 5 dagen op acht seconden achter Meo. Dat krijg je als Spanje geen Trophy Team stuurt. Bij de dames leidt Luduvine Puy natuurlijk.
\nLeo Moulijn\u00a0wordt\u00a046e in de C1 (met 41 strafminuten). In het klassement staat hij 45e. Goblet wordt 8e (totaal 7e in de E2).
\nZaterdag alleen nog het slotcrossen.<\/p>\n

2010 ISDE Mexico, dag 6: AFGELAST<\/strong>
\n\"Organisator<\/a>Vanwege nieuwe onrust in Mexico en zelfs schietpartijen in Morelia is de 6e dag van de ISDE afgelast. Zonder dat er overigens sprake was van direct gevaar voor betrokkenen. In het nieuws vinden we dit:
\n… Drug gangs blocked roads and set fire to gas stations in the colonial city of Morelia in western Mexico on Friday evening after soldiers captured a local drug gang leader, state news agency Notimex said.\u00a0…<\/p>\n

De offici\u00eble verklaring van de Organisator:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The organising committee of the eighty-fifth FIM International Six Days Enduro has decided to cancel the final day of the competition, a decision that has been fully supported by the FIM Jury.<\/p>\n

No one involved in the event has been effected in anyway by the actions that occurred in the region overnight. These actions were in no way connected to the event and took place some considerable distance from the host city of Morelia.<\/p>\n

The decision has been taken to ensure the safety and security of all persons involved with the event and of the spectators due to watch the final motocross test.<\/p>\n

Results as of the end of day five, most of which were already clear and decisive, will now be declared as the final official results of the eighty-fifth edition of the FIM International Six Days Enduro.<\/p>\n

The prize giving ceremony will take place as originally planned this evening in the city of Morelia.<\/p>\n

FIM Sports Director – Ignacio Verneda and President of the 2010 ISDE Organising Committee – Luis Otero have now issued the following statements about the earlier decision to cancel the final day of the eighty-fifth edition of the FIM International Six Days Enduro.<\/p>\n

Ignacio Verneda stated:<\/p>\n

\u201cFirstly I would like to congratulate the organising committee on delivering an excellent sporting event, which has reflected a good image of the discipline of enduro. After five days of such a good competition, I am happy with the decision that has been taken by the organising committee and the FIM Jury.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is 100% the correct decision, as in all cases the security and safety of everyone involved with the event is the most important consideration. Although the risk was only very minimal, we prefer not to take any risk at all. In all cases the decision has been well accepted by the riders, the teams and all those associated with the event.\u201d<\/p>\n

Luis Otero stated:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe organising committee are extremely sad about this situation, as so far we have enjoyed a fantastic competition. From the start our philosophy was to have fun and for five days everyone has had incredible fun. However due to circumstances beyond our control we have now taken the difficult, but correct decision to cancel the final day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone has seen the steps we have taken to safeguard the security of this magnificent event and in no way do we want to jeopardise the smiles that everyone have been wearing on their faces this week. Our main goal has been the security of the riders in the hills, but now the priority is for the authorities to provide security for all the people in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n
