France\u2019s<strong>Antoine MEO (KTM) <\/strong>recovered strongly from his disappointment of day one to win the Enduro 1 category while <!--more-->his compatriot\u00a0<strong>Christophe NAMBOTIN (KTM)<\/strong> secured his second win of the weekend in the Enduro 3 class. Adding extra spice to the GP of Spain in\u00a0<strong>Puerto Lumbreras<\/strong>, Spain\u2019s queen of enduro\u00a0<strong>Laia SANZ (KTM) <\/strong>claimed her second victory in the Women\u2019s Cup category.<\/p>\n<p>Continuing from where he left off on day one,\u00a0<strong>NAMBOTIN <\/strong>was again the rider to beat in\u00a0<strong>E3<\/strong>. Fast, smooth and mistake free throughout the majority of the day, the Frenchman secured his second win of the weekend.\u00a0<em>\u201cI\u2019m so happy to have won both days here in Spain,<\/em>\u201d confirmed a pleased<strong>NAMBOTIN<\/strong>.\u00a0<em>\u201cIt was a tough race with nowhere to rest. I pushed hard in the morning and opened up a good lead that I was able to control until the end of the day. It\u2019s been a fantastic weekend for me.\u201d<\/em>Behind him, Sweden\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Joakim LJUNGGREN (Husaberg) <\/strong>improved on his fourth pace result from day one to finish as the runner-up behind his French rival. Despite riding in severe discomfort due to his crash on day one, Estonia\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Aigar LEOK (TM) <\/strong>gritted his teeth to secure a well-earned third position.\u00a0 Recording his first top five result of the season, the 2012 Enduro Junior World Champion<strong>Mathias BELLINO (Husaberg)<\/strong> ended his day in fourth place. Portugal\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Luis CORREIA (Beta)<\/strong>capped of a strong showing in Spain to take his second fifth place result of the weekend.<\/p>\n<p><em>Great double for Christophe NAMBOTIN who seems better physically<\/em><br \/>\nIn the\u00a0<strong>Enduro 1<\/strong> class,\u00a0<strong>MEO <\/strong>bounced back from his fifth place result on day one to win day two. Topping the opening three special tests of the morning, the KTM rider then controlled his speed to claim his fifth win of the season. \u201c<em>Day one was tough \u2013 I crashed too many times,<\/em>\u201d commented\u00a0<strong>MEO<\/strong>. \u201c<em>I needed to win day two and regain some of the points I lost. I pushed hard in the morning and then kept an eye on my times and rode safe to win.<\/em>\u201d Proving fast and consistent in the extremely dry and powdery terrain, Finland\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Eero REMES (TM)<\/strong> finished just 17 seconds behind\u00a0<strong>MEO <\/strong>to secure the runner-up result and his second podium finish of the weekend. Struggling to find his rhythm in the difficult conditions Finland\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Juha SALMINEN (Husqvarna)<\/strong> ended his day in third position. Spain\u2019s<strong>Cristobal GUERRERO (KTM) <\/strong>placed just three seconds behind\u00a0<strong>Salminen <\/strong>to finish fourth while day one winner Finland\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Matti SEISTOLA (Husqvarna) <\/strong>completed the top five.<\/p>\n<p>Delivering another perfect day of riding,\u00a0<strong>CERVANTES <\/strong>claimed his second win of the weekend in\u00a0<strong>E2<\/strong>. Setting the fastest time on the first extreme test, the Spaniard pushed hard in the extremely rutted special tests to hold off Italy\u2019s Alex SALVINI (Honda) for the victory. \u201c<em>This has been an incredible weekend for me,<\/em>\u201d told a delighted\u00a0<strong>CERVANTES<\/strong>. \u201c<em>I am ecstatic to have won both days in Spain. Winning day one gave me the belief that I could do it again \u2013 today I was not going to let anyone beat me.<\/em>\u201d Although setting the fastest time in the final enduro test,\u00a0<strong>SALVINI <\/strong>was unable to close the gap to his KTM rival and had to be content with second place. Making amends for his mistake on day one, France\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Pela RENET (Husaberg)<\/strong> ended his day just six seconds behind\u00a0<strong>SALVINI <\/strong>to secure the third step of the podium. France\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Johnny AUBERT (KTM)<\/strong> placed fourth with Spain\u2019s<strong>Oriol MENA (Husaberg) <\/strong>rounding out the top five.<\/p>\n<p>In the\u00a0<strong>Enduro Junior<\/strong> class Australia\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Matt PHILLIPS (Husqvarna)<\/strong> fended off a final lap charge from Italy\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Giacomo REDONDI (KTM) <\/strong>to take his second win of the weekend. With<strong>Redondi <\/strong>finishing as runner-up to\u00a0<strong>Phillips<\/strong>, Spain\u2019s<strong>Mario ROMAN (Husaberg) <\/strong>ended his day just three seconds behind the Italian in third. Manxman\u00a0<strong>Danny MCCANNEY (Gas Gas)<\/strong> was fourth with Sweden\u2019s<strong> Robert KVARNSTROM (Beta) <\/strong>completing the top five. In the\u00a0<strong>Enduro Youth Cup<\/strong> Manxman\u00a0<strong>Jamie MCCANNEY (Husaberg)<\/strong> topped seven of the day\u2019s 12 special tests to win day two. Sweden\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Albin ELOWSON (Husaberg)<\/strong> finished in second position with Italy\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Dawid CIUCCI (KTM)<\/strong> rounding out the top three.<\/p>\n<p>Taking her second win of the weekend,\u00a0<strong>Laia SANZ (KTM)<\/strong> comfortably topped the\u00a0<strong>Women\u2019s Cup<\/strong>class. Australia\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Jessica GARDINER (Sherco) <\/strong>capitalised on a crash by Britain\u2019s<strong> Jane DANIELS (Husaberg) <\/strong>on the final enduro test to finish second.
