EWC finale Frankrijk Dag 2: Magnificent Sanz Is Crowned Champion At St Flour
Een zwaar aangepast schema op dag 2 in Frankrijk na de vele regen. Slechts één crosstest en een stuk route bleven er over. Dat werd vier keer gereden.
Spain’s Laia SANZ (Honda) is crowned the final enduro world champion of the year as the 2013 Maxxis Enduro World Championship draws to a close in St Flour, France. Ending her day second overall in the Women’s Cup, SANZ successfully defended her world title. “To win two enduro world titles is an amazing feeling,” admitted SANZ.

EWC finale Frankrijk Dag 1: Salvini Crowned World Champion In France
Italy’s Alex SALVINI (Honda) and Australia’s Matt PHILLIPS (Husqvarna) are crowned world champions on day one at weather disrupted Maxxis Enduro World Championship AMV GP of France in St Flour. Battling their way through a rain-inflicted day, SALVINI and PHILLIPS kept their cool to secure the Enduro 2 and Enduro Junior titles respectively.

Juha Salminen en David Knight stoppen met WK Enduro
Aanstaand weekend zal er bij de WK finale afscheid genomen worden van twee enduro helden. Juha Salminen stopt zelfs helemaal met rijden. Dat mag ook wel na 13 wereldkampioenschappen. Salminen wordt manager bij Husqvarna voor Finland en de Baltische staten.
David Knight zal, na drie wereldtitels, geen volledig WK meer rijden. Hij gaat zich op het FIM superenduro (indoor) concentreren en daarnaast alle hard-enduro’s rijden.
WEC preview: St Flour Set For Explosive EWC Finale!
Returning to action following a two-month summer break, the FIM Maxxis Enduro World Championship heads to St Flour in France for the seventh and final round of the season. With the French fanatical about their enduro, the Grand Prix AMV of France is set to bring the 2013 EWC season to an exciting and dramatic close in St Flour on September 6-8.
