The ninety-seventh FIM International Six Day’s Enduro (ISDE) reached mid-distance with United States maintaining their lead in the FIM World Trophy competition. Sweden further extended their advantage in the FIM Junior World Trophy, while the United States continue to be the nation to beat in the FIM Women’s World Trophy in San Juan, Argentina.

It was a sombre start to day three of the ISDE after news of the sad passing of Albert Pos from the Netherlands had filtered through the Villicum Circuit race paddock late on Tuesday evening. A minute of silence prior to the start of today’s racing was observed in memory of Pos who had been competing in the Club Team Award category.

The ninety-seventh FIM International Six Day’s Enduro (ISDE) is underway in San Juan, Argentina, with the United States claiming victory on day one in the FIM World Trophy classification. Sweden end day one with an early lead in the FIM Junior World Trophy, while Australia top the time sheets in the FIM Women’s World Trophy.

After weeks of anticipation and build up, competitors from over thirty nations finally rolled off the start ramp this morning for the FIM International Six Day’s Enduro in San Juan. With a long and demanding day ahead of them, they battled their way through some intense heat and rough terrain.

Zoals het er nu uitziet, voorlopige datum dus: 23 – 28 september 2024 Zesdaagse/ISDE Silleda, Galicië, Spanje. 14 km van het uit de WK bekende Lalin en 40 km van Santiago de Compostela waar de intocht parade zou gaan komen. En 2000 km vanaf Arnhem.

Elk jaar wordt mondiaal door de FIM voor de endurosport een evenement georganiseerd waar landen- en clubteams hun krachten kunnen meten, wie van hen na 6 dagen strijd, de beste prestaties heeft geleverd.
We hebben het hier natuurlijk over de Zesdaagse, de International Six Days Enduro (ISDE).

Dit jaar, 2023, wordt zoals bekend de ISDE verreden in Argentinië. Niet echt naast de deur maar toch gaat er vanuit Nederland een kleine groep rijders de oversteek wagen om in Argentinië de Nederlandse vlag te vertegenwoordigen. We zullen ze straks uiteraard allemaal volgen en wensen ze nu alvast alle succes!

Volgend jaar, 2024, zal Spanje de ISDE organiseren. Gelukkig dichterbij huis en voor geïnteresseerden het overdenken waard. De juiste data zijn nog niet 100% zeker, maar volgens het laatste FIM nieuws zal het eind augustus begin september 2024 worden.

The 97th edition of the FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE) continues its set-up and will take place as scheduled from 6 to 11November in the province of San Juan, Argentina.
Already with more than 300 riders contesting Club Team Awards (CTAs) with a strong participation of South American competitors, and also expecting a large number of national teams, this legendary annual team competition will visit the country for the second time in its history, after its first and successful time in 2014.
